Innovation is a driver of productivity, competitive advantage, and enterprise value. But innovation doesn't happen in a vacuum. Innovation requires connections, just as entrepreneurship does, among key stakeholders—entrepreneurs, universities, risk capital providers, government, and large corporations. These connections are increasingly taking place in “innovation ecosystems”
The IIE is working to develop an innovation network that will include an interdisiplinary team of programs and talent from the University of Wyoming, state and federal government entities, corporations, non-profits, startup accelerators, venture capitalists, private investors, foundations, entrepreneurs, mentors, and the media. Each will play a significant role in creating value in the larger ecosystem by transforming new ideas into reality through access to education, expertise, and financial investment.
